Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Homeoffice Madeira | Quinta do Cabeco Alto!

This is the legal stuff that we have to include. It’s based on respect, responsibility and common sense. Hopefully, it’s easy to follow and not too boring.

The short version is that by confirming to join us, you're agreeing to be respectful to us, your hosts, and all other guests. Failure to adhere to this agreement may result in being asked to leave the space.

You take financial responsibility for any damage, loss or health issues. All activities are undertaken at your own risk. We advise that you take suitable travel insurance for the duration of your visit.

Terms and Conditions of Homeoffice Madeira | Quinta do Cabeço Alto

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern the contractual relationship between Homeoffice Madeira | Quinta do Cabeço Alto (hereinafter "Homeoffice Madeira") and its guests (hereinafter "Guest"). By booking a stay, the Guest acknowledges and agrees to these T&C as binding.

2. Coliving Agreement All residents agree to:

Be respectful and considerate towards other guests, residents, and hosts.
Provide a copy of their photo ID (passport or national ID card) in advance to the hosts.
Be financially responsible for any damage or loss caused by themselves or their visitors.
Leave the accommodation in the same condition as it was at the beginning of their stay.

Failure to comply with this agreement may result in the immediate termination of the stay without the right to a refund.

3. Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total amount is due at the time of booking.
The remaining 50% must be paid in full no later than upon arrival.
If full payment is not received on time, Homeoffice Madeira reserves the right to cancel the booking.

4. Cancellation Policy Cancellations by the Guest must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:

Up to 3 months before arrival: 50% of the total amount due.
Up to 2 months before arrival: 65% of the total amount due.
From 1 month before arrival: 100% of the total amount due.

The relevant deadline is based on the first day of the booked stay (e.g., for an arrival on April 1st, March 1st is the key date for the 100% charge). We strongly recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance. More details can be found here: https://www.worldnomads.com/eu/travel-insurance.

If full payment is not received on time, Homeoffice Madeira reserves the right to cancel the booking.
If the remaining payment is not received by the agreed payment deadline as stated in previous written correspondence, the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited, and the room may be reassigned.

5. Cancellation by Homeoffice Madeira

Homeoffice Madeira reserves the right to cancel the coliving stay at any time for an important reason. In such a case, the full amount paid will be refunded. No further claims can be made.

6. Liability

The stay is at the Guest's own risk. Homeoffice Madeira assumes no liability for accidents, injuries, or health issues arising during the stay or from activities.
Homeoffice Madeira is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to the Guest's property.
It is strongly recommended that Guests take out suitable travel insurance.

7. Data Protection

The Guest's personal data will only be stored and processed to manage the booking and in accordance with legal requirements. Data will only be shared with third parties where necessary for contract fulfillment.

8. Final Provisions

If any provision of these T&C is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
Portuguese law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Funchal, Madeira

By booking and making payment, the Guest acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions as binding.
