We park in the cooling shade at Parque das Merendas, our starting point for exploration. The ‘Estrada das Fontes’ beckons us deeper into the forest's embrace. As civilization fades, we're enveloped by the forest's verdant hues.

Our path takes us past the enchanting Cascata do Rabo do Burro, its symmetrical fern drapery and gentle waters feeling otherworldly.

At Poço das Pulgas, serenity unfolds. Water tumbles down in stages, viewed through a curtain of vines and ferns.


For the intrepid, the route offers more—steep climbs reward us with views from Rocha dos Pombos, a breathtaking vantage point above Ponta Delgada, where one feels like an explorer in pristine nature.
